Recycling Specialists, ClearPoint Recycling Ltd based in Hornbeam Business Park, Harrogate has received a Digital Growth Voucher in Phase 1 of the scheme. They have used the grant to implement a new specialist CRM system, in-house server configuration and broadband upgrade.
Project management was carried out by existing IT consultant, Dynamix Consulting Ltd who helped them implement the specialist IT solution the business needed.

A few months down the line we met Director Duncan Oakes (ClearPoint Recycling Ltd) and supplier Matthew Oldfield (Dynamix Consulting Ltd) who mentioned the impact of the voucher in the long-term made it possible for ClearPoint Recycling to extend their portfolio of products and to offer better service to both customers and suppliers and facilitated the expansion of the business via hiring more staff. Also the improved IT infrastructure will allow ClearPoint to reach a larger network of customers globally – the business could enter into new markets this year and started to export to some Eastern European countries as well as existing markets in Northern Europe and Asia.
The business was founded 5 years ago in 2012, in a small office as a 1-man-band and soon started to grow and doubled its number of staff in the coming year. After the continued growth of the business ClearPoint Recycling acquired 2 new office spaces in their current location. In 2015 Director Duncan Oakes joined the business and identified their systems couldn’t evolve as quickly as the demand for their services. A CRM system upgrade was necessary for effective contact management and the growth of the business. The grant scheme from Digital Enterprise made this investment possible and enabled the business to get to the next level and scale up.
Director Duncan Oakes mentioned: ‘We have seen rapid growth already with ClearPoint but our IT and digital resource is under continuous pressure. As part of the growth we needed to implement bespoke software and an in-house server and we needed a dedicated, more powerful broadband connection which the Growth Voucher match-funded.
ClearPoint Ltd currently has a team of 16. The recent growth of the business enabled them to employ 4 new members of staff recently, to support new expansion plans. The business now has external sales reps nationwide and are planning to expand the business to Ireland and Scotland in the near future.
ClearPoint’s Managing Director, William Lee commented ‘ClearPoint wanted to create a new type of company that would bring something new and fresh to the recycling industry, putting the customers’ needs and requirements above everything else. As our company grows, this has continued to be key to the way that ClearPoint manages its business.
