TF Automation, a leading manufacturer of custom automation equipment in Bradford, is experiencing a surge in efficiency and positioning itself for significant growth thanks to a recent technology investment. The company caters to diverse industries like automotive, aerospace, and textiles, designing and building custom solutions such as robotic arms, laser marking machinery, and automated assembly lines.
Previously, TF Automation managed these complex projects using separate and disconnected systems. While this approach served them well initially, it presented challenges as the company grew, such as duplicate data entry and a fragmented view of operations. Recognising the need for a centralised solution, TF Automation applied to Digital Enterprise.
Through a Digital Accelerator Grant, the company was awarded £9,900 to invest in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This new platform allows TF Automation to seamlessly track and manage every aspect of a client’s project, from initial enquiry to completion.
The ERP system integrates seamlessly with existing software, creating a unified view of operations, and provides valuable real-time insights into project profitability.
Louise Roberts, Director at TF Automation, explains the significant benefits they’ve already experienced:
“We set ambitious growth goals for 2024, and this investment has provided a major boost in a short time. By eliminating repetitive tasks and streamlining workflows, we’ve seen a reduction in project costs and a significant increase in productivity.”
“A centralised system was crucial to achieve our growth plans,” Louise continues. “The support and funding from Digital Enterprise made this vital investment a reality. Now, with access to real-time data and project information, we can forecast sales accurately and track progress against set targets. This empowers us to make strategic decisions and drive future success.”
Charles Potter, Digital Growth Advisor at Digital Enterprise, says:
“The introduction of an ERP system signified a strategic move for TF Automation. Now their existing team is operating with increased capacity and sales activity is expected to rise, the company is also committed to creating new apprenticeship roles to support growth plans.”
